How would you rate Spotted Dimension Rifts? (Oct 2022 SQ)

Overall it was fine, not great not terrible but enjoyable. Of the 30 runs I got candy 27 times, 6* sig stones 2 times, and then t5 basic one time so not one of the lucky ones to get that 6* awakening gem. However the candy was nice as after getting the shards and catalysts I spent most of it on the candy crystal shards, which they were very generous in offering so many. Didn't get anyone great, apart from a 6* dragonman which is alright, but it did give me buckets of ISO which is always nice to have.

Overall Rifts are fine to have as side quests a couple times a year, if anything I would change the probabilities in the rifts, 90% chance of candy each time is a bit high imo.

I have to admit on the off chance you got anything but candy the rewards were bomb but the candy wasn't all bad as the rewards could give good stuff and I overall enjoyed all of it

I’ve had good luck but doubt most people have.

I would have given most of the paths slightly less amazing rewards, but given them decent odds, and then maybe left the AG and 6s shards at a super low chance.

Getting straight candy isn’t fun and especially with store being terrible for paragons one thing they could’ve done is had a day without Chance for candy so everyone gets something good or even a better candy store because since the event started I’ve got candy and most days I just quit the quest cause I wasn’t wasting energy for candy when I could repurpose it to battlegrounds

My 3 special prizes were gold gold and t5b. Awful. I have 70mil already.

If you get a 10% lucky draw, make it a choice for the summoner and the prize doesn’t respawn. So no one is getting multiple AGs or t5cc but you can find something that fits your roster and inventory needs. If that’s too generous and can’t be done, I’d still prefer this with no AG to what we have.

I got multiple items besides candy, including the awakening gem twice, even so, I don’t like how this was set up and implemented, it’s demeaning and sucks knowing I put in the same or less effort than some of my alliance mates, but I benefited from the sheer luck of it while they are still going on a streak of just candy and have gotten all the useful items in the store. Also why so much for 650 6* shards?

Wow, things like this is why people want to quit this game. Not because of anything you did but because it shows how unfair this game and the RNG is. I myself, have ONLY landed on the candy path every time. I would kill for even 1 AG but you got 2!

I'm a Thronebreaker and got all the items in the candy store I wanted or needed and have overflow of everything useful. Now just going to get 5* sig stones because that is now the best option.

They used to talk about making the game balanced but this is anything but that. For this RNG reason alone, I would say this is the worst event I've seen in this game and I've been playing since a month after the game came out. Kabam should have at least made something special in the store that could have only been bought if you got all Candy.

The RNG in the rifts felt unbalanced compared to value in the store. Just made the whole thing feel repetitive and un exciting. More paths with different candy values and with different nodes would have helped too. At least try to make it feel unpredictable. Also a type of control your fate mechanic would have been nice

Wish there were more of some resources, limited resources make it not as good.. like 3x of 6* +5 sig.. I wouldn't mind that.

I got 2 mill gold 20k six star shards and 2 t5 basic from path rewards with rest being candy for greater needs

It would be nice if we could buy something really nice with lots of candy, ie AG with say 250,000 candy, so that those that pull only candy will not miss out and still got what the lucky ones got too

Total haul was fine, but net effect of landing on Candy nearly every day was frustrating. Also, quantity of 6* stones for “lucky” path was too stingy, and I’d prefer if the 2% paths were selectors for any of the 2% prizes.

Fyi, I only got 20k something every day, but even if it was not the case, I'd still give it a 1/5, 10, 1000 or whatever

Today was the first day in which I got something other than candy. Got 2 T5B path. I wish that we had that gate where we could choose where we landed, not have it placed on the "hardest" thing to land on. Felt very repetitive to me.

I've got 2 6*ag (both mutant), 10k 6* shards, 2mil gold and tons of Candy. Event was boring to be fair but rewards are amazing. I hope there will be more 6* ag crystals in future quests, but rifts should pass away already. Or at least have 1 path selector for people who wasn't lucky enough. And i would love to see some r4 materials there as well.

I was slightly on the luckier end for this event, 6* Gem, Gold and 6* Shards.
But I still feel it's way too wildly inconsistent.
The type of event this is, is fine once or twice a year. They really need to shake up and try new things. We have like 3 kinds of events, it's boring

It was just like any other event. Get currency, buy stuff. The shop had decent amount of resources, so rewards-wise it wasn't bad. Also the amount of event cavs available was pretty high, which I liked very much (despite not getting any 6* from them all).

As for the ultra rare drops, I never understood the controversy about it. It is meant to be a super rare drop, and if the event dien't have this at all, I don't think it'd be rated any higher. And since the rare drops didn't give any significant unfair advantage to those who pulled them, I think it's just envy speaking.

The biggest downside imo was the idiotic duel target system. When I play the game, I want to do stuff there, in mcoc, not go to Google or forums to look up duel targets for champs. So nevermore please

The rifts itself are ok, but the candy shop is just not it. So little goodies you can purchase or goodies which will help you to improve your account.

Would be better if the shop where you can spend your candy would be upgraded.

kabam have to really step back and think critically when it comes to releasing content these days.
the biggest issue with this rift quest wasnt even the bad RNG or not picking paths. but rather having to do so many runs throughout the entirety of the month.

even if you saved all the tokens for the last day or week to run them all, it is the highest time consuming event we've seen in months.

what people really need to think about is how kabam literally implemented new game modes/updated modes that honestly pay out 100x better compared to your average grind. i understand that many will simply say "you dont have to do any of it" and that is not necessarily the point here.

its kabams job to analyze how to best represent and advertise their game modes. sure you can say, the more stuff there is the more options people have of doing content they want, sounds great, to good to be true in fact.
1. this just means more stuff to grind for(sucks when one of the options is hidden behind RNG)(SQ),
2. one of the modes has high amounts of cheaters/bugs that honestly kills any type of motivation(BG).
3. and the other mode doesnt refresh main milestones till after the season which is roughly a month(incursions).

ALL that while also running basic AQ and AW. dedicated players, most who have been playing for many years know that, earning all the free rewards doesnt come cheap. invested time is the major contributor from us. our time is valuable, our time is worth more than the issues we constantly deal with.

making side quest that has daily wait limits and constant grind doesnt help. overall this rift type quest interferes with other content and baits us with the lowest chances of getting good rewards. im glad some got lucking and got the highest reward, hell some even got 2x the amounts. BUT our time shouldnt be wasted..

dont get me started on how this creates a huge gap in progression as well, and creates unfair advantages. everyone should have been able to get at least 1 awakening gem for the amount of cheese to mouse games we endured... agree to disagree, i dont enjoy being played with and teased. some are into that, more power to them xD

So are we really complaining about RNG? Yeah, bummer that your alliance mate got 2 AG’s, I guess. Do you also get mad when they get a 6-star from a Cav and you pull 3-stars? Or they pulled a QS from featured and you got a Groot?

Seems like a lot of entitlement and selfishness showing here.

If it wasn’t for the massive amount of cav crystals it gave me and my insane luck with those crystals I’d say that the 2 T5 generic catalyst i got once this event would’ve been a complete waste of time

It is just your average run of the mill sidequest with nothing interesting about it. Rewards are average if you pull mostly candy and some sig or catalyst a couple of times.
It is not as bad as people make it out to be, but it is not very good either.

Could not agree more. This was the only side quest in a long time that had some excitement. Let's hope Kabam exercises their amazing ability to ignore complaints in this case too.

I completely hated it. They way to gain the entries is ridiculous. I do about 120-150 Arena fights a day and i almost never got the daily target in that fights.
Also the outcome of the rifts is completely rng, i saw people get 2 AGs and all i got is candy and gold. If they would have put in a chance to choose at least 1 time the path you want like they did with compareable events i would have been fine but to keep it completely rng based is lazy and boring.
