Playing battlegrounds makes you a better player?

Well it has for me.
As a growing player I'm learning so much more about champions seeing as I'm fighting the best in the game constantly.
Eat, sleep, fight Thing, repeat.
Because I'm facing off constantly against the best, I'm learning their rotations, when I can hit them when they mid combo, baiting their specials better.
This will improve my AW attack when I face such champions.
This has been my first season playing battlegrounds and it's quickly become my favourite game mode.

I'd say yes, but I also am feeling more and more stressed about certain fights.. When I see a Hulkling being placed and I don't have tigra, I do the ol' cartoon "gulp..."

Why In gladiator circuit don't u match like roughly your own level till u can't no more? I been getting parigons over n over n over I'm on like a 18 loss streak went from gamma2 all the way back to the start not having 1 fight with a even or lesser opponent I know for a fact there are uncollected,cav, thronebraker players is this normal? Is it just a free for all n I can match anyone at any given time first time ever in gladiator circuit. I'm not mad or nothing just wondering if it's normal or am I just on a massive run of bad luck.

If you made it to GC then you are facing the players you should be. Nothing but insane rosters at that level.

Sounds like you shouldn't be in Gladiator Circuit. Kabam's bad matchmaking pushing players into tiers they don't belong is a problem.

So u think only parigon belong in bgs so bgs is for parigon only with like 20+ r4 while I have 1 r4 even though there are people from uncollected lvl there. Or u just assume I'm uncollected? when I am a boot in the ass of my 2nd r4 and 100% act 8 I'm having to beat players way further up the ranks than me I was up to gamma 2 now I'm all the way back n only played 15+k prestige players while I'm like 11k or 12k the match making was close all throughout diamond n below now it's just stupid and there are players with like 8k prestige with no rank 4 6*

I know I'll not make it to the tippy top I don't expect to but matching should be a little more normal is all I'm saying and should be able to be in gamma quite comfortable imo mabe slightly higher or less.

Yes. Someone with only 1 r4 and a 0-18 record should not be in the Circuit.

Honestly speaking he is actually right. If you lost 18 in a row and they were legit matches then you are punching above your weight. You probably advanced higher than what your roster and skill are capable of.

There are players in my alliance and other alliances gutting uncollected,cav & thronebraker accounts matching them but I only get crazy ones they said they get a parigon against them only now n then n quite often match there lvl.

Are they all in gladiator circuit or victory track? I am not sure what algorithm is used in gladiator circuit but I suspect it’s anyone in the same pool as you are.

That’s not strictly true tbh, at least in terms of the roster.

The 0-18 means you shouldn’t, but the roster strength doesn’t. A lot of the time I have most of my R4s banned - I’m now up to a total of 6, I only have 5 in my deck, and 3 of those are regularly banned. I do fight rosters weaker than my who can hold their own against mine, admittedly the higher you go the bigger the rosters.

I'm getting them big accouns all in uru3 and yesterday I was matching fine in gamma 2 but my game was saying I was masterum badge when I looked proper I was uru1 but was showing masterum. I reset n it's fine now I'm matching normally again that was just wired.

Not sure that's what I was trying to ask at first. but everyone was being rude about it I think I had a weird bug or something.

To answer the OP’s question, I’d say it’s probably made me a better player. It certainly forces you to know more about champions various interactions and forces a bit more perfection in gameplay if you want to place highly.

I think the key to battlegrounds is that you're always fighting against the most annoying defenders.
Practice makes perfect so they say.

To OP's point, I think BG can make you a better player, as it is:
(1) Less stressful than AW, since you are only failing yourself and not your Alliance.
(2) Less mindless than Arena since you are typically facing Defensive champions as opposed to a random Summoner's top ranked champions (who are typically more Offensive oriented).
(3) Lots of repetition against annoying Defenders in a static environment (just one set of Nodes to face the entire season, as opposed to likely potentially different types of nodes in AW).

Definitely learning a lot from BG as well. What I've noticed is you can beat him with most high damage dealers either raw damage or DOTs. It'll take some time but you can I've won some rounds using Stealthy, Venom, and Knull. If your opponent too has a tough fight you can win without the ideal counters.

It sure does helped me wonders in Act 7 gameplay for me... i got past Gwenmaster now im in 7.3.2 😁
