Heavy Across the Screen

I follow the forums but first time poster..

Has anyone else witnessed this issue of your opponent's heavy including a leap across the screen to your end. Even if you're at a safe distance, opponent's with a short heavy jump to your end as part of their heavy animation. I seem to recall a responder on the forums saying players can do everything the AI can so I've tried replicating the move without any luck.

What's going on here?
