What happened with Battlegrounds?

I took a two week break from MCOC and now that I am back I am getting matched with crazy counts with multiple R4 every single time . Before it happened often but now it’s every single time and I am not even in the higher leagues . I am still at bronze . And they seem unusually incompetent since I often manage to beat them which has never been the case before when facing accounts with multiple R4z so what’s going on ?
