Battlegrounds Victory Shield activation issue

After sweating a lot at VT Vibranium bracket fighting only other big accounts, reached four tokens for third time and this time don’t want to go back.
I have couple of victory shields stashed, but I can’t activate them from the matchmaking main page.
I tap on victory shield icon, but it registers as I tap on play button.
I play on a tab, I tap exactly on the victory shield icon, so it’s not a miss tapping issue.
Does anyone knows if there is another way to activate the shield?
I can’t find the shields in inventory, I have two though as they appear on currency sum up page on main game page.
Also if this is a bug, does anyone else has it?
I play on an iPad 5th gen.
Any help is appreciated 🙂
