How to properly use Scorpion

I have my scorpion awakened at R3. Was thinking of taking him to R4 because of how good people say he is. I think I must be using him wrong because I don’t get the same feeling.

Any tips on playing scorpion?

idk if this the ideal way to use him but all i do is just go for mm to stack up as many debuffs as i can till sp1 and use it to apply taunt so the ai throws a special and gets the sting burst

I recommend not r4ing a champion you don't know how to use.

I don't know how to play him but I just hold heavy and sp2 intercept and see big burst damage on my r3.

You'll probably have most people telling you to do MLM heavy charge SP1 intercept MLM heavy charge SP2 intercept and while that rotation can work indeed I think it complicates things for absolutely no reason other than buying you 3 to 5 seconds at best. Due to it all depending on how the AI behaves, you won't be able to get that massive damage you watch in tutorials (at least not on most matches).
I've tested this myself and honestly spamming SP1 is probably the way to go, KT1 also tested this and it does seem like the most viable way to play him is spamming SP1 (on most matches at least) since it takes nearly the same amount of time with both rotations. I only use SP2 towards the end to drain some health from my opponent so I can finish the match at full health, I highly advice you use him this way too, that other rotation complicates things for no reason and will only allow you to get that massive damage if the AI cooperates 100% and plays exactly like you want it too.
