Battlegrounds is broken

Ive been trying battlegrounds for days, and every time i try to find a match i get matched with someone with 6,000 more hero rating than my highest level champion. pls fix!!!

Are those actually your highest champs, or have you filtered out showing any 6* that you may actually have higher ?

Anyways, doesn’t actually look so very bad as you seem.
Only 6 of opponents are up higher than your tops.
And since you can ban 3 of them, they really only have 3 others that are noticeably higher than you.
Then it's just a matter of how many others they have in the 4000/3000 range versus yours (or are ALL of the rest of theirs similarly in 5000+ range ?)
But some on the upper end would seem comparable.

Seems battlegrounds is finally working properly, stop filling your deck with the expectations of fighting someone weaker than you. Use your best champs like your rank 5 stark spidey & rank 2 6* CMM. This is the same as sandbagging. You’re trying to match with people with less experience and weaker rosters than you have.

Oh, I missed that.
Yes, there is a tiny slice of (at least 1) row(s) ABOVE that Hawkeye and Logan in the pics shown when selecting that Deck.
So purposely decided to only show picks starting at Doom, not their actual highest champs.

As to OP, some weeks ago matching is now based on overall stuff, no longer what level you choose to put in your Deck.

No way for us to see what the comparison really is (profiles, plus upper part of what Deck could possibly be, vs their Deck).

I looked up his profile in game and he has at least 2 rank 5 5* champs along with a rank 2 6* CMM. So it seems the match was very appropriate for his account. He just decided to fill his deck up with weaker champs with the expectations of matching a weaker opponent.

No it doesn't, and we can clearly see those aren't your top champs. They already made it very clear that they want people using their top champs no matter what, this one's on you for ignoring this and throwing weaker champs purposely when doing this gives you zero advantages now.

Most of us rank offensive champs, this makes our rosters higher ranked when we're match against people, however we bring a lot of DEFENSIVE based champs to Battlegrounds.

I've been getting annihilated lately, as most of the champs I have that give me my ratings are attack based champs, which some are useless defensively, so I try to pick the ones who would stand a better chance in a defensive way!

However one thing that has annoyed me is when you've (talking as the third person) just been ANNIHILATED by a certain champ, you then put that same champ as your defender and then YOUR defender get annihilated too!

Hi..
I am trying to play Battleground but every single time when I find the match up.. after one fight my battleground fights get stuck and I ended up losing the event
I am also losing my tributes to start the battleground.. this is really annoying

@RichDMann your opponents top champ is a CGR with a rating of 11,540. Your top champ is a stark spidey with a rating of 10,670. Where are you getting this 3,000 number from? Your opponent is clearly even with your roster. You decided not to bring in your best champs and that’s on you.

This is both of yours and your opponent’s accounts, you have the stronger account with more champs and base hero rating. Looks like matchmaking is finally working and finding opponents with similar war rating, prestige, etc. And no longer match making based on deck strength.

Kabam needs to either fix this, or put some equal stats on the champs in BGs, its just a waste of time and energy playing vs champs with more than 10.000 value than yours

You're in GC... I understand people who complain about this in VT but GC is meant for the best of the best as it should be, prestige and rating shouldn't be taken into account in GC because then you're going to have Cavs on the top 10 and Paragons in Uru 3 that wouldn't be fair.

Yeah but the problem is that the nodes make it a lot easier the higher the rank of your roster, so Its like yeah I reach GC but I cant ramp up because Im not a whale or I do not have enough time to spend in arenas to get resources, even If Im more skilled

Well, I understand it can be annoying but that's how GC should be. If they made it so you face only opponents with the same prestige as yours (or pretty close to yours) then you would end up having to wait 10-15 minutes for a match in GC and the weaker players would probably climb up quicker and higher than most of the stronger ones it would be a complete mess.

Idk, Ill do the same next season, get to GC again and drop BGs, cause its just a way of time anyway, kinda sad, Ill lose some game on purpose to get more points at the events at least

Unfortunately that’s gonna happen in gladiators circuit. At that point all they can do is go off your war rating which there are many large accounts in gold tier wars.

I don’t think you quite understand what I’m saying, so I’ll say it one last time. Stop using anything other than your very best, strongest, highest quality champions. Matchmaking does not care if you’re using only 3* champs or 2* champs. You’re going to be matched with someone that has a similar account rating, war rating, and prestige rating to you. It has nothing to with you “using” 4* doom as your highest rated champ to “prove a point”. All you’ve proven is that kabam has fixed match making and punished sandbaggers like yourself.
