Battlegrounds: Armor Break doesn't break/nullify Armor?

Why am i still taking damage from Armor up in BG when i am Applying Armor Break?! WTF is the Point of Breaking Armor if we Still take a ton of damage when striking the Opponent??? Disgusting Game mode when this is the kind of BS we constantly get screwed by.
