Does Hood have non-invisible block pen?

These are both from 7.3.4, but I’ve always noticed that whenever I’m fighting The Hood, I am taking so much block damage from parries, but everybody else, I’m taking normal parry damage. I’m trying to figure what is causing it but I’m having trouble here.
