"In one try"

Does this mean you have unlimited tries, but you have to beat him with the first champ you pick OR you need to beat him with all your champs the first time you face him OR something else?

So since I got ko'd on first champ, I can not go back through and lose out on the follow up quests as well.

If you haven't completed the Quest Path, I'd suggest finishing it first. Otherwise you'll have to restart the Quest to get the one-shot.

This is a silly challenge, especially because the input issues are still to be fixed. If you make a mistake or experience lag/glitch/input issues you have to restart the whole thing? Seems that this kind of challenge should have come with a way to reset the defender to attempt a one-shot again.

You need to one shot the boss. You should be able to repeat the path as many times as you want but will need to beat the boss in one try with one champ.
