AW category is broken?

We played in category 2, after defeat we move to category 3, but the nodes and aw tactics are still from 2-nd... It’s like we playing more difficult map, but the points and rewards will be lower...
Can someone explain pls?

If the alliance you are facing is a tier 2 alliance, then you will be forced to play up to their map.
