Herc Son of Zeus

I wanted to double check on Herc Son of Zeus which gives Herc an immortality buff preventing death.
This is a fight in AW with Spidey 2099
The nodes were Strike Counter -Block Penetration, Outlast, and Never Back Down-2.
Spidey 2099 had about 10% health and Herc was on the immortality buff, and I tried to finish off Spidey 2099 before the buff wore off. But Spidey 2099 kept blocking my hits. I thought Herc on the immortality buff was unblockable.
I thought I could bull through Spidey 2099 to finish him off, but he kept blocking the hits.
Am I missing something here?

Assassin mastery probably. Herc's sig can be affected by AAR. Sometimes the unblockable doesn't trigger, sometimes immortality itself doesn't trigger.
