Captain Marvel Movie (Counterintuitive Sig Ability)

Why is it that an awakened CMM loses half her binary charges when hit by specials, whereas an unawakened one does not? Seems a bit counterintuitive seen as an awakening ability is supposed to ENHANCE the champion, not weaken them.

Edit: Could it be bugged, in that, she is only supposed to lose half her changes when struck by a special if she has her indestructibility buff active? It does say that her indestructible buff AND half her energy charges are removed when struck by specials?

I’ve wondered about this. If her indestructible isn’t active, she shouldn’t lose charges as she doesn’t when unawakened.

Nightcrawler has an awakening ability that enhances his offence, but make him worse at defence.
From holding block for 2 seconds to change stance unawakened,
awakened needs from ~2 to 1.7 seconds to change stance, make it easier to “switch” him to non evade stance as defender. Unawakened is far better defender unfortunately.
They should have revert that timers if defending.
1.7 seconds unawakened and ~1.7 to 2 seconds if max sig.
Some awakened abilities need to be looked at.
It’s weird for a champ to lose things if gets awakened.

It's normal for awakening abilities to make certain champions worse defensively (though it is still a little ridiculous). The thing with CMM is that it makes her worse offensively AND defensively. If she's a defender, throwing your specials removes her binary charges much quicker when awakened, thus, lower uptime on unblockable specials and furies. Should be changed IMO. It's not necessary at all, she's hardly OP anyway.
