    Nick Fury
    I run Deep Wounds 5/5.
Nick Fury would be furious if I didn’t voted him 😂
Apart from that, NF if you are skilled enough and not stressed over playing with less than 30% health, is insane.
Impressive damage, debuff shake off, evade/miss counter and the most op ability: able to be consistently full Unblockable 😮
Kingpin, ShangChi and Valkyrie are all up there too.
To be fair it’s more down to personal preference, rather than one being objectively the top 🙂

    Shang Chi
    Shang Chi.
    1. Dude has easy access to slow, which allows him to counter unstoppable and evade effects.
    2. Cleansing Charges that can remove any type of debuff whether damaging over time or not.
    3. Easy access to unblockable attacks that can counter auto block. Can trigger through block as well.
    4. And a stun from a combo that is long enough to do a 3 hit combo into heavy. Bonus, can trigger even if you hit the block of opponent.
    5. Extra burst damage apart from normal hits.
    6. Perfect block and evade.
    7. Mega Sp2 damage.
    8. Access to buffs, due to which he can be used in fights where the node asks for 3 or more buffs on the champion to do damage.
    9. If played correctly the he can even start to do damage where 3 or more debuffs are required to do damage.
    10. Doesn't require synergies to advance a tier. Kingpin, Daredevil, Black Panther and so many skill champions rely on synergies but Shang does not.

    Kingpin
The thing with Nick is that he needs to get down to those last 30% in his second life in order to begin deal his insane amount of damage. That's a worthwhile tradeoff in story content and other stuff that doesn't penalize it, but it really gimps him in stuff like BG since it makes you lose a lot of points. But then again, in BG, his second life makes him probably the most difficult defender in the game. Not the most annoying one, but the one that takes the most times to kill since you have to do it two times.

Kingpin, meanwhile, shines everywhere I've brought him. He's amazing in basically every kind of questing and PVP, and he works as both a defender and an attacker. I love him. He can't reach those truly high highs of last-30% Nick without some truly absurd number of debuffs to convert into overpower buffs, but he's still an overall beast.

Shang-Shi is growing on me. I only just recently took mine to r3 and have been playing with him ever so slightly in BG, but since he was useless in the Victory Track meta and I only reached Gladiator's Circuit with a few days left of the season, I didn't have time to really use him a lot. But from what I've played so far, he seems like a really solid champion. Really good utility and lots and lots of damage. But unlike both Kingpin and Nick, he's absolutely worthless on defense.

Valkyrie is an interesting case. She's similar to Falcon in that she doesn't have that much utility on paper, but what utility she has can be used in so many ways. When Falcon came out, people were like, "Uh, so he has -100% defensive ability accuracy with Lock-On? That's cool, I guess. But what else?", and it took a while for people to recognize just how much that shuts off. Similarly, Valkyrie's main utility is that she basically just plays into her opponent's block rather than fight them directly. This, too, shuts off a lot of annoying defensive abilities since most of them activate on successful strikes and not blocked hits. I don't think she's the best skill champion (especially since she's practically worthless on defense), but I do think she's a skill champion that people should keep an eye on and try to get in their roster since she brings a piece of incredibly valuable utility that none of the others bring.

In conclusion, Kingpin is the champion that I've used the most times in the most diverse game modes of the game. He's the only one that I feel is really good no matter where I bring him and no matter what role I bring him in. But man, it's a close race.

There is no such thing as best in class. Best option shifts according to nodes.
