Gladiator Circuit Should Matcmake according To Prestige or Total Hero Rating

As the VT matchmaking happens according to prestige, GC should use the same principles. Total Hero Rating could also be the criteria.

There are so many stacked rosters. It's not fair matching against them with smaller rosters. They should be in their own weight classes.

Disagree completely. You’re competing for the same rewards. At no point should prestige or roster or ANYTHING outside of your current placement impact matchmaking, in VC or in GC

I think there has to be something keeping things fair to a certain point, yes. What that point is, is still up for debate. Someone suggested the first 5 Tiers. I'd say at least half myself, but that's just me.

If anything needs to change, is the exact opposite.
VT should use the same principles as GC, and have matchmaking based only on your tier, as any serious game does for competitive modes.
Instead of asking for more, you should thank Kabam for still ignoring all this, allowing small accounts to easy reach GC, in disadvantage of many bigger accounts, that get stuck at VT.
Asking Prestige matchmaking to extend to GC is absurd and greedy.
This is literally asking UC accounts to be able to reach Celestial 1, by only fighting each other 😂

I disagree with that extreme as well. You need to give people half a chance starting out, and you need to prevent people from just pecking off whoever they want at the beginning stages. There's this idea that it's all just fair game because it's the same competition for the same Rewards, but that only applies if people are given reasonable increases to the challenge level they're reaching. You can't have that within a system that just throws everyone in amongst each other from the start. That's just creating a game mode that serves only one set of Players.
As for the suggestions of separating Players based on class and having a separate competition, the Titanic was separated by classes. 2500 people died as a result of it, and it's currently eroding at the bottom of the Atlantic.
It's not a far reach to give people a fair start to the competition and still have everyone in the same system. We don't need an entirely separate game created just because people have achieved a certain point of growth.

Are people still arguing about reaching Gladiator Circuit with their small accounts only to face real competition and wanting to fight only small accounts to get keep getting ahead. I wish Kabam would just create a tier for BG, where you can join any tier you want. This would mean there's different rewards attached to each tier. If I want to fight only 100k accounts you can but the lower rewards would persuade you from doing it. It's like paragon players doing monthly or side quest in tier 1. They can do it but for the most part the rewards aren't tailor to them so the benefit of doing it is small. This would be in my opinion the best solution. This way everyone can enjoy BG according to their skill and/or roster size.

To start, ~1500 people died on the titanic, not 2500. Primarily because there weren't enough lifeboats by the way, not that tosh about classes.

They didn't have enough lifeboats because they thought that it made the decks too cluttered for one specific class, and that class wouldn't enjoy themselves as much if the regulations were met.

You're right. I mixed the numbers up.
What you're off on is prioritizing one class's enjoyment is exactly what a lack of a starting point does. You're also correct we should stop doing that. For example, allowing the top to have easy prey at the beginning for their own propulsion, thereby ruining the reasonable metrics of people earlier on.

Gladiator circuit isn’t supposed to be fair for the low summoners I’m paragon with 7 r4s and rest of deck is 6* r3 I lose a lot but still find it’s fair

I realised how many huge accounts there are out there. I can't compete with them in GC. So I suggested the only solution I can think of

The solution isn't changing matchmaking to favor you even more than it already does, the solution is... actually pretty simple, just don't push for gc until you have a roster big enough for it. This season I placed uru 3 and I barely got 10 r5 5* do you think it's fair that I made it that far meanwhile people with r3 and even r4 6* couldn't even make it to Vibranium? Neither side should have to struggle this much to get to the league they belong in, and accounts like mine (and I'm assuming yours) shouldn't be making it to leagues they don't belong in either.

This is one reason there are different EQ difficulties. Not every account can complete every difficulty, and I’ve been on the wrong side of that more than once in 8+ years. In a progressional game, there’s nothing wrong with that. No one’s eroding at the bottom of the Atlantic if they have to struggle against stronger BG competition.

Perhaps if MCoC were BGs only, there might be a stronger argument to use equity as a guiding principle so players kept playing the game. But it isn’t—in fact, there are so many modes it is nearly impossible to play all of them without devoting significant time each day to them all. And they all have their separate valuable currencies and prizes.

Admittedly, BGs give out really good prizes. But droves of players made it through all of Story Quest, each Back Issue, SoP, Abyss, Labyrinth and other content as well as to every title in game without any BG loot at all. You don’t need BGs to complete available content.

However…if handicapping BGs is the direction the team wants to go, don’t just stop at small accounts. Make a Seniors League for all of us semi-retired geezers who no longer play at the loftiest levels any more—replete, of course, with the same lofty prizes that Lagacy and Beroman get. After all, it’s only fair.

There's only one BGs, and it's available for a range of Players, and they're all at valid points in the game. Just because there's a competitive aspect to the game, doesn't mean the top automatically owns it.

The United States, as well as many other countries, have a system that separates people by classes too. It's called capitalism. I personally can't afford a Bentley, but I don't shout at every person who can telling them it's not fair.

You legitimately make me wonder if you were camped out in a tent on wall street during the 99% movement holding a Bernie Sanders sign.

In any system, where everyone is competing for the same pool of rewards, everyone should be subject to competing against everyone else. That is the fundamental definition of fairness.

I think everyone would give a great deal more credibility to your posts if you started a new thread asking Kabam to create separate progression based brackets in BG, rather than continuing to simply claim you don't want to fight stronger people.

And for crying out loud, the system would level itself out anyway. If the matches were random, those stronger accounts would advance to GC faster leaving the weaker accounts remaining in VT for you to fight against. Bottom line, you'd still get to GC, you just wouldn't have a 1-2 week head start on accounts you never had to face that are significantly stronger than yours.

Advocating for anything else is a veiled request for a free ride to rewards you couldn't get in a "fair" system.
