Timer reset on limited items in the loyalty store

Can someone explain to why the following happened? Yesterday I had 10 hours left on the t3 alpha timer as I had bought one 6 weeks ago. I went ahead and purchased the second t3 alpha fragment before the reset. As soon as I purchased it reset to 6 weeks. How does this make sense?

Seeing plenty of views but no comments. Am I wrong in thinking this is not working as intended?

Can I get a mod to help answer this question or show me where I can find documentation on how timer resets work?

There are two of the same item in the loyalty store if you’re paragon.

750k for half a t3a and 500k. You probably bought the other one which will have its own refresh from when you bought it.

Had something similar happen with t6b.

Was close to 10 days refresh after the first 500k purchase but upon making the second 500k purchase it reset to 40 days.

I’ve had this happen as well. The items have a timer that starts on purchase rather than the entire store being on a timer like the glory store. Purchasing more than one of an item will restart the timer.

If that’s working as intended then that’s a horrible design and should at the very least be detailed and explained to the community.

Am I asking too much for an explanation of this mechanic, or at the least where I can find details? Not trying to being a pest, but want to understand how it works. If I should be trying a different venue, please advise that as well.

So when you have purchased the limit of the item, the countdown 41 day (iirc) timer starts. Both t3a and t6b work the same with the same timer countdown. I agree its not great but has been answered previously, I had the same query.

I understand there’s a timer for the limit. What bothers me is that if you don’t purchase the max amount at the same time it can actually double the timer as that happened to me.
