iOS update bugged ?

Hya I am locked out of the game being forced to update. There is an option in the iOS store. So I download and instal.
Download is happening. I see the updating icon in the mcoc (greyed out and slowly getting color clockwise). When it’s finished it’s rinse and repeat. Get the you must update icon > update available > start proces > it finished > rinse and repeat.
What are my options or do I just have to wait till a correct update is released to play the game?
