I didn't even know it was possible to match a player of different tier in battlegrounds but today I got this shocker

Always has been, the game attempts to match within your bracket but you can get matched +/-1 as well.

I've had it happen multiple times... my best guess is that nobody was available for a match in your tier so it then searches in the next tier 🤷‍♂️

They think that it's better to match outside your bracket but within your prestige band than the other way around. Awesome!!!

If that’s a thing, then you should swap tiers based on who wins.
