Battlegrounds: Losing victory coins is dumb

How many times do you win two matches in a row and then lose 1 or 2 in a row to start all over again needing to get to three wins to move to the next level? Kabam had to throw in a money grab and create a “victory shield”. Because, why not?

IMO Kabam needs to remove this feature. Makes BGs frustrating as sh!t.

Won 2, lost 1, won1, lost 2. I am ok with facing huge accounts in my tier and losing, but not ok when I don't get to face the smaller ones too. This on top of the bugs and the game is dog 💩

Honestly if they modified their system in a way where you didnt lose coins in losses in exchange for maybe a little more to move up it would make BGs alot less frustrating. Having your progress constantly wiped out due to bugs and modders is horribly demoralizing.

If this change is made then victory shield will become useless.

Kabam is still trying to figure out how to balance battlegrounds:
* how to keep average players motivated to play bg,
* how to give $ players an advantage to keep them happy (and spending),
* how to cram in ways to make Kabam money,
* how to keep battlegrounds so that it fills the role it was made for ("competive player-vs-player"),
* how to make battlegrounds so that it fits along with the other modes for a player's schedule

Typically the first thing that Kabam cuts from in a game mode is "how to keep average players motivated to play".

Best solution would be if they add bonus medals for wining streak. This sistem is inspired from fifa's division rivals, but there if you have a wining streak you are rewarded with bonus points.

Also in fifa you don't lose a "token/medal" for every loss you have. You hit like "checkpoints" where you can't drop below. Though that would be hard to implement with just a requirement of 3 wins to progress. Maybe if they kept it as is but you got a grace point, so you win one you get a medal then if you lose the next match you don't lose the medal but then if you lose another you do lose a medal. That would make it a bit better while also keeping the victory shield relevant

Maybe it would be fair not to lose you Victory Shield when you win a match,

And so only lose a Victory Shield when you lose a match since its protecting you from downgarding a level,

If they want to continue siloing people in the VT then it's not a competition it's a game mode so there should be no chip loss.

No not at all. So Gold has a requirement of 3 medals to progress to the next level, what i mean is .. once you win 2 and get the 2 medals the mode then gives you something of a checkpoint for the next match, if you win your 3rd match you still get your 3rd medal but if you lose you don't lose 1 medal, you stay at 2. But it's only for that one match. Your 4th match would lose you a medal upon a defeat as normal. For diamond 2 to diamond 1 you get that "checkpoint" at 3 wins/medals. Diamond 1 to Vibranium you get it at 4 wins/medals and possibly don't include the checkpoint in bronze levels.

I don't overly mind the way it is tbh, was just a thought as i see a lot of people comment about this topic 🤷‍♂️😅

Eh... Yeah i can see the trade off...seems like a compromise between removing it... Basically if u fail at your check point 2x u start losing coins...
Removing it completely seems stupid..
There is 30k trophies at stake.. thats over 60k 6* shards at Paragon price just for VT..
