heartfelt question

Hey guys, I'm really struggling to play the game. I have input issues / delays on controls about every other fight. I'm having a very hard time parrying, blocking, intercepting etc. And as of February, it's gotten worse, along with a new issue of my game throwing special attacks when I don't want to.

It's been a year and a half of having these issues, to varying degrees. I got a new iPhone 13 a month or so ago, it didn't help. I've tried turning the beta input option on/off, it seems to change how the game reacts but neither way works well. I'm scared to do any hard content. I'm constantly dying in AQ / AW because of it, I've mostly given up on winning BG's because of it.

At this point I need to know if this issue is ever going to be resolved or not? There's awesome new champs, there's awesome QoL changes coming, 8.2 is coming, 7*s are coming, all these cool things... and I don't know how to keep going with the game not working. I keep playing, I keep spending, trusting it'll get better, and it's been soooo long. I need some kind of update? Is there hope?

I play on an iPhone XS Max, so what, 5 years old at this point? I can tell you that the issues I experience are nowhere near the severity of what you describe.
Perhaps it might have to do with where you're located or your wifi. I doubt Kabam will be able to help you though.

Most veteran forum posters will deny any of this happens since they d9nt experience it. But I believe you, it happens to me too

The biggest issue with the game is kabam is working with a very old engine that is basically held together with duct tape at this point. Their new input system they developed probably is supposed to work in theory, but with the engine it might be unbearable.

What really should happen is they should invest in creating a new engine for the game to run on. Before the old engine was broken by the unity update, input issues were few and far between. A new engine would also probably allow a smoother experience since it could be created knowing the complexity of the game.

It doesn't seem to make any difference if I'm on my wifi or someone else's wifi or on cellular data. My carrier has changed, my phone has changed, I've even moved during this time. And on my 2nd or 3rd phone. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with my connection or device. But I wish that was the issue because that would explain why not everyone seems to be having this issue. I have no idea why I do and other people don't.

Update on this, this past week my input issues have seemed a lot less severe! I've had a little bit of issues but not as severe or as frequent, seems to be running at pre-January levels again. Much more playable! Not sure if it was the March update or an IOS update or what

for me, it seems to have gotten worse at times

mine is pretty bad, key issues:
1. holding block dashes forward
2. parry is almost non-existent
3. delay launching SP1s (not as frequent)

misc:
1. skip animation doesn't work
2. daily stamps are not showing up?
3. game cuts off on iphone out of no where

I'm on a iphone 12, sometimes I use my ipad mini.

I only experience minor issues, on an iPad Pro 2021 model. Nope your experience improves.

Ditto this in my opinion.

I get all kinds of frame rate issues, lag, input drops, whiffs, and what I assume are hit box and visual rendering errors.

I’m on a 13 Pro Max. Been dealing with for at least a couple of years now. We can all meet here every Saturday and talk about our problems.

I had the same problem until about 3 weeks ago when I decided to delete the game. I was getting clipped by Rhino SP and his medium attacks on Map 6 AQ. Now it could be me, I could have degraded in reaction time. But all the issues with the game not doing what it used to do, and the whole Battle Grounds issue and not being able move up tiers I decided to stop playing until things got better. Hopefully that will be soon and I’ll reinstall the game and carry on.
