Nick Fury Scoring in BG

We’ve all seen the NF score cheese. You die right before you finish the fight. NF is NF. Health goes to full.

Is this an intended scoring mechanic in BGs? I’ve seen it used at high levels and it feels wrong when they get a win like this. Or even when I get a win this way. Which admittedly I did when the game mode was new and I hadn’t really considered how it effected the mode overall.

Some clarification from staff on this would help.

Why would it not be intended? The score is based on remaining health. When he goes into second life he gains all that health back. It’s no different to champs with regen getting health back during the fight to stay as close to 100% as possible.

Or Quake dealing damage without touching the defender and Kitty taking no damage while phasing, instead applying damage to the defender trying to hit her. Should all of the champs be more like OG Cap and have nothing but basic damage. I'm not sure what OP is trying to say here. Why target just Nick.

Why we are added, all that can autoblock and evade should be banned too, since they have an advantage. Also ban Herc since he can be a pain while immortal.

I’m just asking particularly whether THIS scoring interaction is intended. In BGs alone. It’s a pretty unique case. It’s not a normal regen. Technically, what happens is the LMD is destroyed and the real Nick Fury is exposed. So you haven’t actually damaged the real Nick Fury until then. So I think they will say it’s fine. And it’ll stay this way. I just made this post in hopes to get an official word on it And to quit wondering if it will get changed.

I'm going to go on record and say it's not going to get change. That's part of his kit so I can't see them changing it at all.

I don't think you understand what flavor text is. Here is a prime example of flavor text. It is text that doesn't mean anything, it just looks cool.

The only text that actually talks about the ability is the lines below that line.

It's flavour text because you could remove it and it would make zero difference to how the champ functions.

both accomplish the exact same result in game.

You can remove the cartoon nature part and you'd find that spam behaves the exact same. That is what is meant by flavour text.

Yondu for one used to have " exchanges armour buffs for units" or soemthing in his kit. But no one so far has ever gotten that ability to work. Because it isn't an ability it is flavour text.

" Professor X' s control over minds make him immune to reverse control " and ""professor x is immune to reverse control " both achive the same effect but the former has flavour text.

Those words describe what happens when you take him to his second life. Like literally. I really can’t understand how any of that is flavor text. Once you kill his LMD, the real NF is exposed. And he starts degening. “His LMD is destroyed” describes him being able to be killed without dying, and “returns to fight” describes how he will heal back up. You have to understand they were trying to describe something that was a new mechanic in the game. And since the game kills a champ that falls to 0 health, he can’t fully go to zero and come back. Which is why it functions the way it does. But….

If you want flavor text. Go look at Titania. She has actual flavor text.

If he did exactly what he says in his sig. his health would just snap to full, without getting a heal, But this game being what it is, has limitations. His health should essentially “roll over” to his next life, going passed zero and into the next life. But that would make him actually go to 0 HP. Which is how the game decides a champ is dead (like herc with 1 HP in immortality) The heal is a way to achieve the same effect while working around the limitations of the game engine. If they DIDNT have to do it this way. Peni wouldn’t counter him. And if they ever change how he gets his more health, to be the “snap to full” situation, NOT based on a heal, then peni will actually stop countering him. Because she states whenever the opponent would gain more than x% they are passively heal-blocked.
