Why does the Dex Precision count twice?

This is something I have never understood about the game. For some reason, the precision buff you gain from using Dexterity counts as "ending" twice - once upon striking and once upon the buff disappearing. Can anybody explain why this is? It makes for unexpected reactions with various champions and nodes.

Wonderful. Thanks for the insight. 3 years playing this game and I have NEVER understood it, lol.

They used to not be able to do a singular buff that went from permanent to finite, so it was broken up into two separate ones. When they updated the Dex mastery during the Dex-MD Rework era, that was the common solution at the time. Unstoppable Colossus and Juggernaut for example used to have a permanent Unstoppable buff trigger with a special attack, and then that Unstoppable would be immediately replaced by a new expiring one. This made countering them with Stagger extremely annoying. Luckily that was eventually changed.

Lol Uc Still works like that

Nowadays if you stagger UC, he won’t receive any Unstoppable during/after his special. Previously, if you staggered him, the stagger would consume the first Unstoppable, but the second finite one would proc anyway

I just tried it with antivenom. He will get the first unstoppable when he launches the special but if he is staggered then as soon as the special ends that buff is consumed and he is a punching bag again

Sorry I wasn't clear. I meant Labyrinth Of Legends Unstoppable Colossus. I knew there was something different but didn't know exactly what so when you said what you said i assumed that was what it was. Went and tried again but for him once you get rid of the initial permanent unstoppable, the second timed one will not trigger. But i found something else we can do
