Will every "old" champ eventually get buffed?

Good afternoon,
I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere, but has it been officially stated whether or not every champ will at somme point or another go through the buff program. I enjoy a good "Groot is the best champ" as the next, but he, Cyclops, Superior/OG Iron Man, and others are on several list of buff hopefuls. When it comes to the earliest of champs is it a "when" they get buffed, or an "if"?

Likely not. Some old champions are seen as "too powerful" asthey are right now so, likely just a selected few will be buffed

No. Two new champions are released every month, and usually one is buffed.

If they do buff old characters, I hope they buff the following:

1. Dormammu. The guy is a powerhouse in the comics. He should be on par with champs like Nick Fury, Mr. Fantastic, Apocalypse and Galan (in terms of their empowerment ability)

2. Dr. Strange. There's tons of ways you can make him a far more interesting character than he currently is. He's the Sorcerer's Supreme. He should have alot more unique abilities. (Also, they should reanimate his strike animations instead of his finger flicking)

3. Black Bolt. For the most part, he's a noodle unless paired up with Hit Monkey. He could benefit from more debuff (especially his SP3). He should have a "liquified" debuff or "sensory overload" debuffs seeing as Black Bolt's SP3 consists of him blasting you away with a whisper.

4. Abomination. I would love to see him get a buff with more damage and Gamma related abilities (like the updated Hulk). For his signature ability, he could get Hellfire as he did in the comics when he came back from the dead during the Chaos Wars. He came back twice as strong & with the ability to wield/manipulate hell fire.

We won’t likely see every old champ get buffed, just the ones that are considered by the dev team to be underperforming. Now that we usually only see 1 buff per month now to accommodate the balance program, the buffs also seem to be taking the amount of work required into consideration as well. So we’ll probably only see champs buffed that are either in desperate need, or only require a few value changes, depending on how much time they have.

With the speed we are at, i guess another 3-4 years to get all old champs buffed including our Avengers. Btw how can we forget Sentry, Groot and Iron Patriot they are still living anonymous life

Whatever happened to BPCW buff? I recall Kabam saying they were working on it so long ago. Maybe that developer quit Kabam and they dropped it 🤷🏻‍♂️

No they won't all be buffed. Champions who are 'old' but clearly don't need a buff would include the likes of Dr Doom, Captain America Infinity War and Nick Fury. All from 2018/2019, but still highly useable today.

Way back when Kabam announced they were doing this, they said they'd be looking at every champion; not that every champion would be buffed.

The original announcement about buffs/rebalancing was made here, in 2020:

However no information ever came about how many champions were due to be reworked or how many are performing okay.

It would be great to get some kind (any kind) of 'Dev Diary' update on champion reworks, if the mods could take that request back to the team? (I'm not particularly expecting a response here and now)

Can’t imagine so, at least 100 champs that need to be buffed, at the current rate that would take 10-15 years.

Because Kabam don't care that is a lot of garbage characters in game still remains

I’m pretty convinced at this stage that Iron Fist and Dr. Strange are on the “No Buffs, Not Ever, Never Under any Circumstances in a Million Years” list.

It's a shame that Dr.Strange was probably tuned up more than once, but still behaves like a finger flicking toddler. Just put him on an entire overhaul/rework, please. The animations of Strange are equally bad.
The sorcerer supreme, wielder of the time stone looks more like a timely supreme joke.
If characters like Man-thing, longshot, Maw and Dragon-man can be powerful, Dr.Strange damn well deserves to be amongst the beyond God tier in mystic.

i'd say no . There will always be good and bad champs in a game . If kabam will ever do an overhaul/update on an old champs , in a couple of years , some champs will also become outdated . Besides , 2 new champs with 2 brand new kits every month is enough i would say , too much is not always good
