I read it cause I actually find the story/lore interesting.Like there’s current unanswered question that still need to be answered that’ll greatly add to the puzzle
Always read them. As @Pikolu said, I play the game for the story and look forward to the plot development. But in my view, this month was dire. The writing to me at least, brought across uninspiring, annoying character personalities, propped up by slating established, marquee characters. They did the same with misty Knight's writing. The contrast with, say, the writing for black cat EQ, was stark. She came across as a loveable rogue, that I wanted to play. We've come to expect snide comments and air of superiority from Emma, as a protagonist villan or any of the mercs. Or even that tragic, misguided megalomaniac, like spot or titania. But I did not like it at all, in the people supposedly on your side. Even to the point, that it makes me not want to pull, or play them.Heros should be written with stoicism, sacrifice, flaws, overcoming the odds. Not as arrogant twasoks. That's supposed to be the bad guys.
Disagree with me all you want, but this is a game based at least partially on comic book characters and their stories/backgrounds. Skipping the dialogue is basically the same as looking at the illustrations of a comic book but not reading any of the speech bubbles. You invariably miss out on lots of information. If you don't care, then that's cool... I read all the dialogue so I can understand what the state of the Battlerealm is. It's not like it's freakin' A Tale of Two Cities, folks, it takes such little time to read.
