The announcement of the alliance event change has beating 7* champions in AW and BGs in it. Kabam Jax told us with the SA changes that they were waiting for 7*s to be in the game before they changed the points system of SA, so it is highly likely 7*s are comingnin April. I also imagine 8.2 will be giving 7* shards as part of the rewards.

The 2nd early access bundle this month could include a crystal that got 7 stars in it. That’s how it was back in the day with the 6 stars
