New alliance event

This summoner engagement event is… ok I guess?

I just don’t see what the point was?

Like it already feels 3 years out of date on arrival.

The rank rewards for example, 1% - 5% is what most high level alliances can reasonably expect to hit. The best rewards in this section are 3 t4cc and half a t2a.

Not everything in this game needs to give rank 4 mats and higher - even the highest end of players still need a way to get lower tier mats. I have 10 R4s and my most needed resource at the moment is T4 basics.

My understanding is this isn't a progress based event, and is meant to be replacing generic 1-5 day events that already didn't offer a lot. This event is fine, stop looking for ways to complain about Kabam being greedy.

The design intent behind the Summoner Engagement Alliance Event is to consolidate all of the already (now, previously) existing Alliance Events into one, simplified event. The Event now rewards simple participation instead of more specific in-game actions.

That being said, the rewards for these events are not meant to rival higher end or other more engaging content, especially considering they're now handed out for simply playing the game.

I applaud this intent, I just take issue with the execution removing so many PHC and Grandmaster shards from the economy, which has a detrimental effect on iso availability. I'm aware that this is relatively insignificant, but I do not feel it is reasonable to consider the rewards like for like. JMO

Was there a reason GMC and PHC were removed? The only thing I can think of is it limit rank up resources. The overall need to ISO is SHOCKING.

Unfortunately, alliance events can't ever give great rewards since they're available to new players as well as endgame players. If there were r4 materials and whatnot, then you'd have to accept they're out there for everyone.

It would be nice if the rewards were handed out by progression tier, but isn't important enough for me to care about considering how much work the devs already have on their hands, and also considering the bugs it would definitely introduce as well.

One noticeable difference is the removal of any benefit of item use as part of “simply playing the game”. Was that intentional to exclude or simply a miss that will hopefully be corrected?

I alluded to this in the main thread but from my estimation these rewards are significantly reduced from what we were earning across all the events that were replaced. I love the new format. I just wish you had lived up to "all the same rewards"
