Discussion about "Bugs and Known Issues" Section

Lately I've been wondering why this section of the forums exists. Players post issues on the forums, and they are usually transferred over to the "Bugs and Known Issues" section of the forums, where they more often then not, receive no response.

We have been told by mods that they have no obligation to respond to bug reports on the forums, and that bugs should be reported to the support team. However, some bug reports on the forums do receive some attention. However, a quick look at the Bugs and Known Issues section will show you that only one thread in the first two pages of posts has received a moderator response.

I have some questions for the team about this:

1) Why, if you have no obligation to respond to forum bugs, do you give users a template to report bugs on the forum at all?
2) Why do some bug reports receive attention and others do not?
3) Have any members of the mod team ever gone through the process of working with Support to report a bug? Do you think that it is a helpful process for users?
4) Why can't the forums be reliably used as a means to report bugs if there is a section dedicated to it? Can't you allocate someone to specifically address these posts or at least provide some transparency on whether or not they are being looked at?

As a forum user, personally, there are few things more irritating then going through the process of putting together a bug report per your own bug reporting template that you created for the forums, only to see it moved to Bugs and Known Issues by the same 1-2 mods, further, only to receive no recognition or response at all.

I'd like to see some change here and I'm curious what others think.

This one is pretty simple: The Bugs and Known Issues section of the Forums is there so players can report Bugs. A report does not need to be responded to if there are no further questions about the bug. Just because there is no response doesn't mean it wasn't read or isn't being worked on.

The Bug report template contains the usual information that is needed to get a bug reported. There might be more information that is needed, but we will let you know if that is the case. Without the template, there would be more responses... but it would be a much longer process just to get the exact information that is needed, and we'll often choose to just take information from other users that had similar issues and provided the full information.

Genuine query, not to take shots.

Could you please provide insight into why some bugs take upto a year or more to be solved or even acknowledged as a bug ? Why se bugs are acknowledged but even months or years later see no solution?

Consider Archangel and his ability accuracy being reduced. There was once a post which ziibit responded to but after that there has been no updates on the situation. Not even on Trello. It's not a new bug either

Or Moleman issue. Why it was left for a year even though it could have been fixed and everyone been better off if done earlier

Thank you for the quick reply and details. It is good to know that there are plans to be more involved with the Trello Board. As you have noted, it is a work in progress. I'm seeing lots of things that have been posted on the forums that are not yet on this board, including:

1) Wolverine relic whiffing;
2) Issues with evade interactions/descriptions on March 2022 event quest Chapter 2.2;
3) AI recovery times;
4) Yondu not armor breaking Howard the Duck;

and more.

I hope to see them added.

Unbelievable. The bug where relics can't be bound because the game thinks the champ is in a quest isn't on it. This has been going on for months with multiple complaints.

I’ve been wondering , why did Kabam stop having a monthly “known issues” stickied thread that listed known bugs? The last one I can find is from august 2022.

If the excuse is that you now have a 3rd party website that lists bugs , well no, that’s not good enough. I don’t check there. Why should I?This is the Kabam , MCOC forums , correct ? I check here for game updates and important issues. Besides all that, I couldn’t even get a bug confirmed here on the forums for 9 months after providing vids and all requested info! What good is a 3rd party website going to offer me when I struggle to get bugs verified on these forums?

And they didn’t even say why they’re stopping that . There’s really no good reason to stop listing bugs and known issues unless…..

They struggle to keep it updated

They don’t want visibility of all the Bugs on the forums

Either way, it’s a big step back. We went from the bare minimum of communication about bugs to nothing at all.

Because these forums are not universal. Trello is a universal platform that is accessible to anybody, on any device, at any time. I understand that you are used to this one method of communication, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't be exploring new options that are more accessible going forward.
