Why is the game forcing me to equip a relic?

The game lately has been trying to walk me through the relic process as if it was my first relic, even though I've gotten a number before, and bound one already, but its treating it like a tutorial. I keep just quitting out of the game rather than binding/confirming.

A. is it actually going to force me to bind it or is it just "walking me through" a tutorial type of situation again.

B. If it does bind, why is my top science champ, my 6* Scorpion, the only science I regularly use, not included on the list but every single other one of my 6* and lower Science champions are on the list?
