Something wrong with the AI, activating a special during my combos

I wish I had a video of this but it’s happened atleast half a dozen times where i am in the middle of 3-5 hit combo and it’s broken by an opponents special. It shouldn’t even be able to happen, yet it does.

Anyone else facing this issue?

    I've had this same issue I've hit into champs earlier 1 hit and all of a sudden I'm faced with an sp1 or 2...idk why or what is causing it but its very frustrating
