Does Spot need suicides?

I recently pulled Spot as a 6* and I quite enjoy playing around with him. However I've been on the edge about investing things in him like taking him to R3 or using a generic gem on him mainly due to the fact that I never see anyone use him without suicides and in the content that I have seen, his numbers look kinda underwhelming without them. Suicides aren't something I'm too interested in due to suicide unfriendly champs in my roster, nor are they something I can afford in the foreseeable future. Basically I'm wondering if he's worth it without suicides?
