Dexterity causing stun

Where does this ability come from? I was just playing BGs. King Groot vs Omega Red. I was baiting out a special and one of my dexs inflicted a stun debuff on OR, slowing down the process.

Is it a case where the game registered block for a split second and parry caused it? There wasn't any contact and I dashed back leaving OR stunned.

In my personal experience I often parry on accident when I'm intending on dexing. But I believe that to be a me issue and not a game issue.

The node isn't in battlegrounds though. I normally wouldn't complain about cool new ways to stun the opponent, but it really slows things down when baiting specials.

Technically it can be both, years ago you used to be able to dex fluidly without raising your block, but now for some strange reason whether it's the delayed input issues, even if you never hold your screen and just do a singular swipe back, you'll raise your block for a frame or two and initiate parry even though you never hit block.
