battlegrounds matchmaking not working as intended?

i just want to start by saying that i really like this game mode, i really wouldn't bother making this post if i didn't, recently i have been getting paired with players i cannot hope to defeat, my story progression is 6.3.1 and the people i am being paired with are paragon and thronebraker, there is no way for me to even complete all the solo objectives this way. i really hope kabam takes a look at this and does something about it, this is beyond annoying

What's the prestige/ rating difference between you and the players you face?

The last couple nights I played there were instances I was matched against sub 1.5 million hero base accounts. One being 643k. My heir prestige being in the 11k or lower range and I’m at 17k and 4.8 million hero base. I honestly feel bad when kabam does this but I’d assume that’s the rng of matchmaking and who is available at the time you are looking. One account almost got me the others quit out.

my prestige is 8.7k, people i am getting matched with are around 12k-13k

From what I've seen after platinum 2 ish you can get matched with anyone now, which is good, means everyone can progress a bit but not everyone can get to gladiator anymore.

Up until that point I was getting matched with similar accounts, now it's a mix within my tier. I think these are great improvements!

just got to platinum 2 but stuff like this was happening before in platinum 3 as well

How does someone can claim Battlegrounds matchmaking is not working as intended, since Kabam has NEVER stated what their intentions are with the matchmaking?
Since they changed matchmaking to fix sandbagging, they never shared matchmaking parameters, to let the community know, what intentions they have with it and BGs in general.

Its completely broken or maybe is just working as intended so you get pissed off and buy the BG protection, I am a 2.6m player in diamond 1 and I keep getting paired with minimum 3.5m. Even got paired against a 6m and a 5m , didn't even know those accounts existed

it can be good but it can also be incredibly frustrating when you get paired with people way above you in game progression, i cannot fathom how i got paired with paragons when i just completed act 6.2 and my strongest character is at 11k power rating

You are competing for the same rewards as they are….. so that’s why you are facing them

Why do people keep using rating as a parameter..I have a 3.5+ million rating.. I doubt my maxed 2 and 3* will be used in BGs...

Well if you are being matched with powerful players then it's probably your time to stop BGs as that is as far as you can go with that account according to the game

Progress in game, increase your overall rating and power and then hit BGs again the next season when you are more powerful
