AI Passiveness!!

I'm not one to complain but is it just me or does anyone else notice that the AI doesn't throw there specials?

I just fought a Kingpin in battlegrounds that just dashed back at the start of the fight. All he did was hold block and dash back even when I just stood there not doing anything. After losing 30% of my health to brute force degen I went to hit his block again and tried a heavy - instantly interrupted and combo'd into oblivion.

Fun times.

This has always been my main complaint about MCOC. Code the Ai to hold block, gain power, and only throw sp3s. Annoying and not any fun.

I thought I was going crazy. The Ai in the shooting star event is worse they hardly throw their sp is very annoying.

I was fighting Gorr and it was awful dancing around just hoping he wouldn’t randomly shallow intercept me when he’s one hit away from a SP3.

I have lost many BG fights just waiting for them to throw their special while degen slowly destroys my hopes of a victory.

It's all over. Where the AI coding has changed or something else that interacts/influences the AI behaviour has , it's pretty noticeable.

The most annoying change for me is how the AI fights Ghost now. A bunch of light whiffs far away from my champ to waste the phase period - don't tell me that isn't an indirect nerf. Only happens when I use her.

honestly it's getting annoying at this point. Had a match yesterday and I was trying so hard to bait sp2 but they would not throw it and when I was getting backed into a corner I had to hit them for some space and of course as per usual as soon as they got that sp3 they threw it. It's crazier when it is a power gain node or something

They hold on to their special 2 way too much. It's ridiculous and makes the game more annoying than ever.

I've been noticing something interesting, we all know that if you try to intercept with a medium attack, there's a chance that you will get intercepted right? Ok, so light intercept is the most safe way to do it right?
Lately if you keep a rhythm of light intercept, the AI will hold like a sec before dashing at you and AFTER you do your light attack they will dash and intercept you
I notice this playing with hercules and couldn't understand why i was getting intercepted using a light attack, started to pay attention and well, now the AI can counter your light intercept :l

Nothing quite like losing a BG round because the AI decided to not throw a special and bruteforce degen kills you. Pretty much you end up in a situation, die from bruteforce or die by giving the AI an SP3

The AI is IMO the worst thing in the game, and it has only gotten worse. Defenders that stand there and hold block, dex at light speed, somehow stop mid-dash at you, etc. The AI does things that no human player can do, and Kabam has coded it to be as stupid as possible. It's getting to the point where this game is just not that much fun, and at some point the PITA factor is going to outweigh my interest in the game. Already happened with BGs.

The thing that annoys me the most is the recovery timer and taunt ineffectiveness
The AI seems to recover after specials way too quickly these days
Before I used to be a noob and still be able to start a combo after specials and heavies
Now it's impossible to not get hit by AI or get special intercepted just after you knocked them down with your heavy attack or SP
The Taunt do not seem to work at all as the AI will keep on holding specials even after having a pretty powerful taunt on them

I noticed it while using Kitty(below 3 prowess) and Ghost
The AI stood there and waited for me to make the move and end my phase
With Kitty the AI held block even though I was using my usual intercept combo which used to get Me guaranteed intercepts 3 months ago

Do people really think this is a bug still? Just think about how long it’s been going on now and they have yet to say much about it besides claim they have done nothing.

I played Spidey Vs Hyperion, consistently had 3+ taunts him, never launched a sp1 or 2. Also took literally 90 seconds to bait a sp2 out of a ghulk earlier.

This made the side quest Week 3 TL 4 & 5 very painful. The AI would not throw SP1 or SP2, almost constantly waiting for an SP3 then, even just before the the bar visually filled, it would throw it's SP3.

When it would throw the SP2, or get hit by your SP, it would recover so fast you couldn't react in time... but that's a different thread on AI recovery timing....

Absolutely they stupidly are ...all they do is dash back to the wall and hold heavy .

It reminds me of the old man logan bug where he was too passive, he didnt block, throw any hits or specials and just stood there

Lmfaooooo happened to me in AW against Mephisto. He didn't even have one iota of power but somehow threw a special 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I didn't even bother to contact Kabam support.
