What's happened to global unit prices?? Worried about purchasing!!

Hello so my aliance mate in Australia today noticed that his odin cost has gone half price!? And others in my alliance from Europe have said their prices have doubled! Something is clearly wrong and we are pretty concerned that if he buy this will be seen as using an exploit. Can someone please confirm @Kabam Lyra @Kabam Vydious or anyone else.
