I'm not sure the reasoning behind needing 8 six star champs to buy the six star crystal. Not a fan of it.

Likely just to prevent people from saving their resources from the time they're hard stuck 4*s on 6* crystals. If they let people buy 6* crystals before they're able to manage ranking them up, people can really ruin the experience for themselves.

It will absolutely hinder your ability to learn how to fight nodes in act 5 and beyond though. Why do you think there's so many posts about people not able to beat act 5 with 6*s?

I'd rather be struggling with 6 stars than 4/5 stars. If I grind out incursions for the shards, I should be able to spend em.

You can do whatever you want but the actual fact is a 6* is over powered for act 5. Most 5* are over powered for act 5 as well, especially the newer champs that came after act 5 finished. So when you get to act 6 and above and struggle, you have no one to blame but yourself for taking the easy road to victory. Learn to use what you have and make do. Your not supposed to just waltz through the game.

You clearly just don't get it, man. If you can't get cavalier with your current roster of 5*s, you won't be able to get it much easier with the garbage 6* you pull from incursion crystals. I promise you, popping more crystals is not your solution. Spending time, doing research, and ranking up your current roster is. You can complain about not seeing enough stars under your banner as much as you want, but it doesn't change the fact that a 5* Gladiator Hulk got me through more content back in the day than my 6* Corvus gets me through today.

You need help making progress? That's fine, ask for that instead of complaining about an issue that is specifically designed to help players like you. If they allowed you to open that 6* crystal and you pulled Aegon, what would you do? Would you awaken him with the 6* awakening gem you can't afford? Sig him up with the 6* sig stones you also can't afford? Use him in the act 6 content he's practically useless in? And what if you pull Doom, use him to get through act 6 no problem, and then realize you have no idea how to use the rest of your roster?

You're not talking to Kabam here, man. We've all been there, and I know I'm extremely thankful for not being able to **** myself over back then. Expanding my 5* roster taught me more about this game than I could've imagined at the time. Now it's your turn to learn everything you need to learn, and put it to use getting just 8 6* champions. If you're ready to earn 6*s, prove it, earn just 8 of them.

Bro I'm already Cavalier and progressing just fine. Just wanted to get another 6 star champ but can't because of some wall.

I know you think that opening the crystal can somehow hurt someone's ability to get good. At the end of the day it's just a crystal that I grinded incursions for, but can't open. Annoying.

The block on the crystal isn't progression based. It's just roster based. The fact that I don't have 8 6 stars is the only thing preventing me from getting it. Just holding FTP back because we don't get shards as rapidly as spenders.

OR you could try progressing through act 6 and doing content that rewards 6* shards instead like everyone else. It's that easy

I will do that. I just also think that if they want it to be progression based, then make it progression based. Has nothing to do with progression though. People can just spend all their extra money to get 8 six stars and then buy the crystal at any point. Other people don't have that option.

They don't want it to be progression based, because progression isn't a measure of skill anymore. Anyone can spend a few hundred bucks ranking up 5*s and get to Thronebreaker in a week, not everyone can dedicate the patience to EQ, SQ, AW, and Act 6 to afford 80k 6* shards, and that's the difference between a player with a good roster and a player who actually understands the game. As a FTP player myself, this system is the best they could've made it.

If you're already Cav and progressing just fine, then you should just be days away from those incursion crystals. If they allowed people to just reach a certain progression level to unlock the crystals, then you'd have Conquerer level players saving up their incursion artifacts for years until they reach Cav, which would do nothing but slow them down.

If you believe that a 6* champion would help you that much, then go get one from Variants, Battlegrounds, AW, EQ, SQ, Act 6, Incursion milestones, or Arenas. There is one place you cannot get them, and the reason for that is the exact reason you want them from there specifically. It's easy.
