Viv Vision SP2 mini game bugged?

Pulled Viv Vision yesterday and been having fun playing around with her, but hitting the blocks right before each slowed down hit of her sp2 to gain the charges rarely works in a similar way as re-parry not working in between inputs. Anyone else having this issue? It's a pivotal aspect of her damage rotation
