7.1.2 Rhino Bugged

I am on path to completing 100% exploration for Act 7 and I've come across what I can only describe as a bug. Before embarking on this quest, I picked a specific champion to aid me against Rhino boss with its nodes. The node states the following as attached.

For this reason I entered my 6* Baron Zemo whoms special 1 can inflict Disorient. I've seen disorient debuff inflicted on Rhino but each time he's knocked down, I still take a burst of damage. I have already spent 3 revives on this heap of nonsense and I also recorded it to prove the debuff status was applied.

I believe compensations are in order and a swift resolution. The only viable champion I have is gambit and Baron for this path.

I’m not an expert, but I will point out that you picked the one disorient in the game that isn’t technically a debuff. it’s a passive. And the script up there says disorient debuffs.

^^this. If you don't have a champion with any of those debuffs, I'd recommend just never knocking the opponent down. There are many champs that can deal high damage without heavy or special attacks.

That's a plausible theory, however, Baron's description doesn't indicate it's a passive at all and neither does the Rhino node specify whether these should be active or passive debuffs. As you can tell, the game offers little room for redemption if you go into a boss fight with a completely unprepared roster. Therefore, this vital detail should be clear for us players, if that were the case.

That wouldn't be a problem, I agree however, this boss also has the Power shield buff. It takes zero damage from basic attacks and deals 400% damage on specials. So ultimately, this suggestion is not an efficient option for me. Kabam support is investigating now, so I'll update this section once I know more

Zemos abilities clearly says disorrient passive, node says debuff.

Fyi there's no active or passive debuffs, there's debuffs and then there's passives.

It'd be slow, but DoT debuffs and (I believe) big red numbers still work. If you truly don't have any other option, it seems to be your only one.

There’s no such thing as a passive or active debuff. There’s a passive or a debuff. The node specifically states debuff, and Zemo’s description does specifically say his disorient is a passive

Whenever both debuffs and passives work on a node, the term “effects” will be used (ex: incinerate effects).
In your case, it is clearly stated in the node description that debuffs are needed. Zemo’s disorient is passive, so it doesn’t work.

I would point out that when this fight was designed, Zemo didn’t exist, and I don’t think there was a passive disorient in game yet. This whole thing kind of reminds me of the first time I ever tried to use torches prefight on a mystic on polkadot power. It’s a complicated game, and sometimes interactions between parts of the game don’t work out the way we think they will.
