How is Starky Spiderman?

I recently pulled 5 star Spiderman (Stark Enhanced) as my second 5 star and I was wondering if he deserves a gem and r2?

I don't know what act you are in, but you sound new. Awakening gems are/were rare. He's good without it.

A lot of champs don't need to be awakened.

I don't know what act you are in, but you sound new. Awakening gems are/were rare. He's good without it.

A lot of champs don't need to be awakened.

Starky is a great champ. My 4* and 5* were invaluable when fighting the Collector and the 6.1 boss.

Although he benefits from some synergies (Blade, as part of the infamous trinity along with Ghost Rider) he doesnt need any of them.

Although he is a bit squishy and doesn't have any immunities, his damage output is impressive and doesn't require buffs or complex rotations to get to those nice yellow numbers. His Taunt is useful generally and the power drain on his heavy can be a life saver especially if the opponent is close to an SP3.

My 6* Starky was my first R4. I had other options but he's served me well so far and to be honest he's a safe option I often go with unless there are particular nodes that don't suit him.

My advice would be to rank him up but hold off using a generic awakening gem on him for now. Practice with him and see how you get on. He's worth a Tech gem but that's just my opinion. There's better options for a generic but it's your choice. Get used to him and decide then.
