Kabam??? What are you thinking??

I know these offers give you revenue and help sustain the game, but now whales and spenders are roaming BGs and just bullying every FTP trying to get decent placement in GC leaderboards, just watch KT1 streams, half of the time people just quit at the start when they see he's got 15 R5s and 3 R2s ?? Now me, one of these FTP players can't even touch these kids anymore because of you

    I have no problem if kabam makes some sort of gated matchmaking where FTP and whales are separated, or at least prestige based matchmaking. What I do have problem is that we have a game mode called BGs where we fight those whales constantly, other than BGs (which supposedly to be equal) other than bgs I have no issues with whales cuz they support this game

    I do feel they were given a little too many deals in the unit store(limit wise) though. That has skewed things a lil too much.

    The unit deals this time around weren’t the big ticket items. Paragons were able to drop $500 and get 5 rank 5 6*.

    Questions I have:
    Are you Paragon?

    How many R5s and R2s do you have in your deck?

    Have you been relatively coasting into GC in prior seasons?

    Why would you think that a non-spender should be competitive without at least several times the effort, which would come with many, many more losses?

    I'm not sure what you mean by this but exact same thing happens every single forth of July sale period. The main difference this year is that BG exist which didn't exist in previous year sales. The sales give the Whales a temporary advantage, which is why they buy the offers.

    Whales and huge accounts don’t get the same rewards lol we are not even competing for the same rewards 😂 the people at the top should never drop as low as they do they should compete with each other for those rewards.

    Every July 4th, boxing week sale and gifting events posts like this always pops up. I don't compete against the whales since I can never catch up to them. I don't understand why summoner's don't see the big picture, just look at life, the rich people (top 1%) can buy and do whatever they want and the rest of the population don't have access to a fraction of what the top can do and buy. This game is like real life, the people with money get whatever they want and the rest gets the crumbs. Do you compete against Elon Musk in anything at all, most likely not.

    I think someone already said it but You shouldn't punish people for spending also i think it is leaderboard based so the whales Will fight against the whales later in the season (is not punishing since they can win rewards the others ... Won't)

    The cold honest truth is that FTP never could compete. There is a small grey area of overlap between FTP and Whales, but by and large, competition between the two is never gonna be fair the entire year.

    These holiday offers merely dispels the illusion that FTP are competing with whales.

    First, no there are not making accounts three times bigger as adding a few new top rankups don't want automatically triple their roster.

    Second, YES, every year on forth of July sale is basically same thing where whales get a whole new top rankups roster just like this. The thing you are overlooking is that this is just more of a headstart for the whales over f2p. Meaning, over the next several months the gap will drastically decrease on top rankups between whales and non whales and it eventually evens out.

    As an example, over past many years, I have "whales out" on the forth of July and black Friday deals and my roster was easily in the top 1% of the game at those times. However, as of late last years, I stopped spending on deals and over past few months I've completely stopped playing.

    My roster is no longer in top 1% in fact, I don't know if it's even top 20% anymore. As long as people keep beating content they minimize the gap (but there will always be and should always be a gap between whales and f2p otherwise why spend) and every single year after big slaves like this there is a massive TEMPORARY increases gap.

    There should be a PSA posted that says: If you choose not to spend money, you will not and cannot "compete" with the whales unless you have inordinately good luck AND are willing to no-life grind AND get into a good alliance with whales.

    Does this look normal to you guys who say that the whales aren't given that much of advantage?? Now how is this fair in competitve environment like BGs where only skill and wit should win you matches not some top $$ ?? Again if BGs weren't a thing spenders can have their own custom made champions for all i care
