I found it surprisingly easy this season . I made it to Plat 1 without using a single victory shield and without much difficulty . Did I just get lucky or is it easier for everybody ? Or could it be because I recently became a paragon and this gives me raise marches ?

    I think you just got lucky. The matches through VT are based on your roster. Maybe you had the camps to deal with the node or got lucky and went up against sub-par opponents.

    If you waited, you missed all the higher end players who rush up the ranks and faced a bunch of frustrated people who haven't been able to climb efficiently.

    I can assure you this isn't the case, I've faced legends and whales on my alt and had a run of 9 absolute uncollected potatoes on my main with 5*s. It's just random.

    Oh, 100%. I'm not a fan of the tanking/bye fest. That's likely what's the cause of it. I can't wait until seeding next Season.

    Next Season. How that will look is still up in the air, but we will be able to get the previous Rewards as well.

    I reached diamond 2, because this is leagues better than the masochist nodes and immensely easier to handle. I'm not happy tho, now. Before it used to be rosters that had champs rated till 18k, and I did not mind that at all....now it's just legends and 7 star r2s

    To be fair, I only Forfeit when I have 0 Wins in a Tier and I know I'm likely beaten. Until I get a streak going, I don't have the patience. No Forfeits now. I'm one away from the GC. Would have been there by now but I forgot to activate a Shield and....welp.

    I think that's exactly what is going on too but there has been a few that have had more than 3 medals forfeiting and im now wondering if they were people tanking or genuinely going "Nope not today"

    Yes, you get 0 for forfeiting. However, matchmaking is often more favorable in certain tiers (Plat 2 for instance), and since this season has the extra rewards, a lot of people purposely tank fights with energy to stay in easier brackets to better ensure a win with elder's marks

    Thanks for reply. But why not still stay in the match for at least a few points versus forfeiting for zero...

    Well, I should thank everyone. I made GC for the first time ever. I'm usually stuck in sweaty silver and gold due to not having tier based matchmaking until p2...and not getting that far. I got my solo points, so will now just play my 3 matches every other day.
