Can’t parry/block

I’ve recently became uncollected so it’s safe to say I can parry pretty well at least, but as of the past few days I’ve been getting destroyed because the game won’t let me block. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling cleaning my phone and everything. Is this just me being **** or a bug? Btw playing on a new iPhone 8.
