Seriously tho, I just got into the GC for the first time, so I wanted to ask, do you actually need to win a match to get season rewards?

No, but you need to play 1 match to place in uru 3 - win or lose.

You could forfeit and see if it updates your placement to uru 3 - or just put in all 2* to make it go faster 🤷‍♂️

Since there is no medal to lose why not give it a legit try, you might end up in URU 2! You made it to GC so don't give up!

How much do you need to get to Uru 2? I got lucky and managed to reach 96 points but I am still not moving

It’s a moving target. Right now it’s somewhere around 160 points.

It’s rank based. Right now bottom of uru 2 is 160 points.
