BG GC Noob questions

I’ve made GC both last season and this one, however in both cases my RL schedule hasn’t allowed me to do much once I’ve gotten there- maybe 50-60 points. I understand your rank depends on the number of people in GC and their scores, but a couple of questions:
1 - In general, how many points do you find it typically takes to get out of URU iii and out of URU completely?
2- I’m assuming you keep the rewards for the top rank you achieve, not all of the ranks up to and including your rank, right?

This season is an anomaly, so it doesn’t have the most helpful information going forward. Right now getting out of Uru is somewhere around 200 points, but I’ve gotten into arcane with like 180 before. Depends on the timing and, as you pointed out, how many people are playing.
You keep the rewards of whatever rank you end at, which may or may not be the highest you achieve.

The leader board will tell you the points needed.
Currently it’s 163 to make URU 11 and 200 to make GAMMA 111.
You get rewards for whatever tier you finish in at end of season.

Not an anomaly. This will be the new norm. Greatly enhanced rosters and only having 2 metas will drive the scores much higher. 2 weeks ago I told my ally mates it would take 400 points to remain in Mysterium this season and they all thought I was crazy. It will be “worse” next season as the GC meta is crit me, which will be a total nuke fest.

I'd say it is probably an anomaly because this is the only season where you have the AW rewards in milestones and no AW to compensate. Next season we will likely see more normal levels of participation with alliances not pushing themselves to hit 12mil and people not trying to get 400k points themselves.
