Question for iPhone 14 users

I recently got an iphone 14 pro, and I am having a bit of a rough go playing the game with the floating black bar on the screen. I've noticed that sometimes when I try to block and my finger is on the bar, my champ dashes in. Any tips?

It's definitely annoying but I just ignore it as best as I can

I have my fingers near the middle of the phone the way I hold it so its not much of an issue. However I used to play on an 8+ so my issue is my palm hitting the side of the screen.
