Ok Kabam! I'm seriously confused about this new war system...

So the alliance war pre-season just started and I'm horribly confused by this new system and have a few questions...

So the intention was to make the war system more intuitive/easier, and ngl it's mad confusing at first glance. I've figured some stuff out but as mentioned above, I have a few questions.

1) So I noticed for attack, I can join any battlegroup (bg1, bg2, bg3), despite the fact I placed in bg 2 or smtn. Is this working as intended?
2) Why can I place my defense (place heroes) at the same time I can join attack (continue war)? I get it's called persistent placement, but it shouldn't place defense mid war during the active war.
3) This is more of a favor than a question on my part @Kabam Miike ... Can y'all make a tutorial on how this new system works? It would make it a lot easier to understand this new system in its entirety. It would also assist with explaining this system to alliance members.

1. Unless you didn't place defenders at all, for attack phase you're locked into the BG that your defenders were in when matchmaking started (3pm PDT).
2. Any changes that you make to your defenders after attack phase starts (you can't do any changes during matchmaking) won't take effect until the next war. However, since you can "persistently" make changes to your defenders, you can change them at any time, even during attack phase.
3. I'm sure someone from the CCP will come out with a video once they get the hang of it. Check out YouTube on Monday or Tuesday and I bet there will be several videos available.

Kabam made this system. They know it better than anyone apparently, cause they made it. So, they should to make a "how-to" video or something. I know eventually youtubers will, but when a new champ is release we have deep dives, why can't they do the same with a new feature!?

Is that intended that our attackers can be use in Solo questing as well? Cos I still can select my AW attackers for my EQ

Our attack phase has started simultaneously with placement phase, so excuse that one away

The placement phase for the current war has been available since Monday. There is no more "announced" placement phase any longer. It's always placement phase. As long as you're not actively matchmaking (which takes an hour or so), you can place and arrange your defenders at any time. If there's a war in progress, your changes won't take effect until the next war starts.

I'm pretty sure this is exactly why the CCP exists, so they don't have to do such things.

To clarify (2), any changes you make to defenders DURING the (now 2 day) Attack phase do NOT apply to your defense in such currently attacking war. Changes apply for FUTURE Wars.

And (1), correct, with an exception that if you only run a 1 or 2 BG war, and have your persistent defense placed into BG 3, then you CAN indeed join BG 1 for Attack. Since your persistent defenders in BG 3 doesn’t count as locking you into BG 3, since BG 3 was not actually used for your current war. That might be the case for people saying they can join Attack in a different BG from where they previously placed defenders.
