Error when trying to join AW attack

Whenever i try To join AW attack I keep getting this error message. I can view the preview screen and select my team but when i click Join it pops this message and send me back to the Home Screen. Can someone tell me what’s going on?

Are you trying to join a different BG for Attack than the BG you have you Persistent Defenders placed in ?

Nope , this happened when I had champs in a story quest and then tried to join AW.

Seemed to work normally if I joined AW first and then tried to use some of those champs in a story quest.
