you could do that while the season is on, you have 30 like days to do the season

Because it serves no purpose? The nodes are usually pretty straight forward, so not much of a need to learn them.

There is no currency reward, it's offseason so you wouldn't move through the ranks for tokens. (unlike AW offseason where you stockpile loyalty)

Other than that, there are simply no rewards tied to playing BGs that aren't season based. Would take an entire revamp to try to force this into existence.

I would rather Kabam focous on paragauntlet, ROL 2.0, and story... for actual rewards

Some people suffer from a bug which prevents them from attaching or removing relics from champions in their BG deck, so an offseason BGs would allow them to remove those champions from their deck so they could attach or remove relics.

I'd also like it if the BG objectives kept going through offseason so you could still get your 1200 tokens every other day while fighting in a casual queue or something like that.

It has many purposes but for me personally it would just be nice to have something else to do for others it could be to test out rank ups or to just keep the rust off

It wouldnt necessarily go unrewarded although i wouldnt mind if it did.

This part I would be completely onboard with. Easy enough to accomplish and gives compensation for effort/time.
