Not another 7* vs 6* question ⁉️

When 7* first came out, I looked on Aunt Mai and assumed that they were equivalent to 6r5 based on stats. However, I only see people talking about how a lot is equivalent to a 6r4. Am I missing something?

A 7sr1 is between a 6sr4 and r5. Kabam showed a chart during its Aug 4 livestream that shows how to compare:

Most 7* r1s are like a r4.5 6*. The exception is sunspot who actually has higher stats than a r5 6* as a r1 7*.
