So the legend token for getting zone 25 is not one of the ones for the 7 star selector? I ran through incursions like 5 minutes ago and claimed it and I just now read the description 😂

No it is not, the token you get from incursions is for the legend title which comes to the store September 13th.

The 3 legends tokens you need for the selector are acquired from the last day of the login calendar, an arena thing, and the BrutalDLX challenge.

The calendar, arena and brutalDLX events starts from 16th. All 3 will award one token. There are so many tokens in game currently, good time for stamp collection if that's your hobby.
