Incursion room 25: is Herc the only way?

I am researching help with Incursions and it all leads to Herc, Odin, Galan, Heimdall.

It seems that, if RNGesus has not blessed you with these champs, you are out of luck.

This is not true other champs can do it as well it’s all about skill and items to revive and heal up. Herc just makes things easier if you have him and the others are synergies only.

You can do it with a lot of characters. Champs that can ramp up makes it easier, Angela + Odin, Aegon, Stryfe , Thing etc. Don't count on it to be item less thou.

It 100% depends on your champions, hacks offered, champions and nodes defending, etc.

It is also a notably different style of incursions now, so while Herc is still great, different hack combos can seriously boost other champs. I took even a 5/65 Aegon into TL6 with buff cornucopia, strategic movement, those hacks that give you increased attack per buff on you, and he was honestly as good as 6* R4 Herc for most of the fights. The only time I preferred Herc was for some of the later rooms where I didn't have any potions and needed the immortality to combat a specific node that caused damage, but then Aegon took several fights that I couldn't rely on Herc for (such as some of the buff removal nodes, which seemed more common).

I'm running through TL5 now with FAM, Valk, and Hulkling, and they all definitely have gotten a boods from other specific hacks. Herc is certainly not the only way, and I got to room 25 pretty cheaply with Herc, 5/65 Aegon, and Mojo I think, but I focused on him less.

There are definitely other champs, namely aegon and Angela- odin.
but herc is definitely the fastest and safest option to get it done cheaply.

Other ways requires more skill and it gets intense. Herc just goes beserk when immortal with all pre fights and smashes almost any defenders he is put through.
With other champs, some specific fights won't suit them.

Hypothetical herc, horseman stryfe and heimdall is possible, which seems crazy good to me.

Start herc odin galan, do fight with galan then prefights from galan and odin on herc.
Swap out odin for apoc and ramp him in that room if possible.
Swap out galan for stryfe and put horseman prefight on stryfe.
Swap out apoc for heimdall and your set.

I think some interesting possibilities are possible with swapping out champs but it seems to be a hassle when herc just hercs

tough to say, @Drago_von_Drago . i dont think 5* herc will cut it for a zone 25 run. I could be wrong

The new incursion system is pretty lenient so you can use many other champs.
There's a pretty fun interaction of joe fixit with the hemorhage or whatever hack where you place a power sting for every bleed. Just one sp1 and they take around 420k sting damage. This is what I was using.
If you get special refund and martial artist you can stun lock with iHulk as well (not tried but pretty sure).
And obviously, any heavy buffed champ with buff corn is just gonna be a destruction machine.
There might be other cool interactions like these. Keep researching.

People have even used their 5* Hercs for zone 25 push instead of relying on other champs as 6*

Please do and let us know who you use and how many items. I’m without a 6* herc or aegon so I’m curious who else is a good option. I don’t have a lot of time for trial and error runs.

I did a room 25 run with Aegon, Proxima and Heimdall, spent about 13 - 15 level 2 revives. The hard thing is every damage overtime node

I like Angela/Odin with Galan and Odin pre-fights better than a Herc build. You can swap Galan for a cheat death ability from Hela. I’ve heard and haven’t confirmed that you can also swap Odin and still get the 5% potency per fight, in which case you’ll want Heimdall on the team (also adds a fury buff) for a really great cheat death effect in combination with Hela’s. Buff cornucopia is mandatory and causes a **** ton of heal buffs to trigger. Strategic movement, toxic advance, and attribute multiplier further enhance this build. Get those 4 boss hacks if you can manage it. Pick up a crit rating stat booster, and you’ll be seeing big yellow on every hit.

I don't have a 6" Hercules.... yeah yeah i haven't been lucky enough. what I do have is a duped rank 4 Galan. I'm wondering if i could push zone 25 with a r4 6* Galan, give him the Odin prefights and then build a team around him. Has anybody done it with Galan as your main attacker??? if not then i would have to use my 5* Hercules.

Id imagine Galan wouldn’t be great, since as a r4 I think his dmg is about 200k, while some one the higher bosses have 1.5 mil+ health

Hercules isn't a must have.

Look at the boxes that Hercules ticks that make him godly (heh) and use someone that also ticks them, either by themselves or with synergies.

If there was ever a time for experimenting with alternatives, this is it.

You should be able to get several zones in itemless and be able to see what's going to work for you and what won't.
